Jackalope Artwork: About
Kellie (Kellz) Bowen is a lifelong independent artist, a character designer, and an overall nerd. She grew up copying art from comic books, drawing guides, movies and TV shows like Avatar the Last Airbender. Now she serves online fandoms by commissioning character designs for DnD characters and started Jackalope Artworks. Jackalope Artworks is her outlet for sharing her love of pop culture and celebrating and encouraging creativity.
She grew up in Colorado Springs, and moved to Oregon for college. This is where she got a double major in Studio Arts & Mass Communication and a minor in Music at Linfield College. Since then, Kellz has interned with the Colorado Springs Fine Arts Center, and curated an exhibit at the WALLOW Gallery in Carlton, OR. She has been honing her skills in drawing, digital illustration, and gouache painting.
Some of her main inspirations include: Dark Fantasy, the foggy PNW nature, heavy metal, Star Wars, Studio Ghibli, and apocalyptic worlds.
